| Meldung : | DGAP-News: ESSANELLE HAIR GROUP AG / Key word(s): Quarter Results Essanelle Hair Group presents its figures for the first quarter 2014 16.05.2014 / 09:00 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Essanelle Hair Group presents its figures for the first quarter 2014 At EUR 32.3 million, sales revenue significantly above last year's level EBT ranges at EUR 0.9 million after EUR 0.6 million Düsseldorf, 16 May 2014 - In the first quarter of 2014, Essanelle Hair Group AG generated sales revenues amounting to EUR 32.3 million, thereby ranging above the level of EUR 30.8 million in same period for the previous year by 4.7%. Regarding the individual salon concepts of the company, HairExpress had an increase in sales of 11.5% from EUR 10.2 million to EUR 11.4 million. Super Cut generated sales amounting to EUR 5.9 million after EUR 5.6 million (+5.4%). The essanelle Ihr Friseur concept achieved EUR 13.0 million, ranging slightly below the previous year's value of EUR 13.1 million (-0.6%). The beautyhairshop concept, which specialises in the sale of exclusive hair care products, achieved sales amounting to EUR 1.9 million after EUR 1.8 million in the previous year (+3,0%). Due of increased sales, the earnings performance indicators of Essanelle Hair Group improved, despite increased personnel expenditures. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 15.3% from EUR 1.7 million to EUR 2.0 million compared to the previous year. After the first three months, Earnings Before Tax (EBT) ranged at EUR 0.9 million, thereby lying above the previous year's level of EUR 0.6 million (+47.2%). Finally, earnings per share amounted to EUR 0.12 after EUR 0.08 in the previous year. Achim Mansen, CEO of Essanelle Hair Group AG: "We are satisfied with the sales performance in the first quarter. This shows the positive impact of price increases linked to the minimum wage. Regarding earnings performance indicators, we now range close to the level of 2012. We are therefore able to confirm our expectations for the entire year at this time - the uncertainty regarding the second stage of the minimum wage starting in August still remains, however."
